amazing beer here, these guys are doing some great brett stuff right now, and this one really stood out to me. its insanely clear, almost looks like a pils or something, crystal clear, nice head too from the tap, didnt expect it to be served in a pint glass, but here we are just the same. aroma is super mature and funky brett, but also really clean, no stink or weirdness to this at all, and no real acidity despite the barrel treatment and possibility for bacterial introduction that comes with it. smells really dry hoppy, a citra and amarillo thing, but im not sure what they use, fruity, generically citrusy and tropical, its all fresh and nice, but its nothing new in this regard. the oak seems subtle in the nose, but i taste it more than i smell it, with a distinctive white wine profile, although im not sure if thats actually the kind of barrels they use or some flavors from the dry hopping coming through at the same instant. a little tiny but of astringency, but the brett is amazing in this, funky and wild and really layered, almost drinks like a lager at the end, shocking how clean and refined it is for a brett beer, i like this level of care in one of these, its uncommon and awesome. this is like the best of all possible worlds in one glass, a style bender, but i am glad i have a whole pint, its a real drinker too. very well done, this shows some expertise in the brew house to say the very least...
