Pours dark brown with little head. Not a strong smell, but still nice, mostly malty with a hint of fruit notes and smokiness. The taste follows suit, a great malty flavor, with a subtle sweetness that I am guessing is from the roasted malt. A nice medium mouthfeel, extremely smooth, a well balanced beer, with great flavor. Overall one of my favorite ESBs, the malt characteristics of this beer are excellent.
