Notes taken from growler – 03/06/2015
Split between a few taster nonic style glasses – Thanks Bro!
A: Light golden blonde colored body with a touch of hop haze. Looking somewhat effervescent and more like a refined honey would as it settles in the glass. Nice top layer of bone white froth that lingers on for a bit before leaving a bit of sticky splash back.
S: Light and sweet honey malt aromatics with floral hops. Pretty mellow overall and leaving a lot more to be desired here. Could be the stainless steel growler but picking up a slight metallic note as well.
T: Taste is a much better step up than the nose with floral hops and some light piney accents. There is an all-encompassing honey cracker malt sweetness to the brew with a light to moderate amount of bitterness hitting midway. Perhaps some ephemeral citrus notes there. Pretty smooth with good balance and easy drinkability overall. Finishes out with some mild alcohol surfacing. Not bad and somewhat refreshing.
M: Light body with a nice crisp spritzy pop on the palate. Touch of bitters there and a good drying finish on it.
D: Some pretty common fair here. Doesn’t really provide any type of excitement for me however. I mean it is plenty crushable but just not anything I would want to spend my dollars on. I am sure this is solid for the thirsty desert masses.

Fresh & Easy growler. Filled 3/9/15.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet honey, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a nice mix of citrus and earthy hop qualities, but the sweetness level in the taste is a bit unexpected.
Serving type: growler.
