Marionette is an amber colored Oat IPA bursting with bright citrus flavored American hops and fermented with our house English yeast strain. Flaked oats lend a full and silky mouth feel and are accompanied by grapefruit, orange peel, and persimmon flavors that coat the mouth. This unique IPA finishes with a drying marmalade end and a wonderfully full body thanks to the hops and oats.

Another great hoppy beer from Southern Prohibition. The hops meld very well with the malt backbone and do not overpower it. I could drink multiple glasses of these even at 7.6% ABV. Well done!

Marionette was a limited draft-only release. Had on draft at the SoPro taproom, including on nitro, and later from growler.

SoPro accurately describes Marionette as a "unique IPA," "bursting with bright citrus flavored American hops," having "a full and silky mouth feel" from the oats, and finishing "with a drying marmalade end." The Nitro delivery muted the aroma and smoothed out the bitterness in the finish.

A bit sweet for my taste, but this limited release is not to be missed.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours clean bright orange amber with thick fluffy white head, good retention, lacing. Sweet aroma with light citrus. Taste on this one is different, but good. Zesty bright citrusy hops combine with a lightly sweet malt backbone. Finishes dry with a little yeast in the end. Mouthfeel is very soft. Glad I got to try this one, SoPro is making some good IPAs, just wish they weren't all seasonal.
