Had on tap. A lot going on here, but all based on the great blend of tart oak and funky yeasts. Nice bouquet of fruits in the smell, lemon, stonefruit, pear, apple, peach, melon, and orange in the smell. Taste is more delicate in the finish with the fruits, while the wood and funk are more robust. Still leaves you with a fruitiness though. Nice work

The Reckoning, part of SoPro's Wild & Wood series, was a limited, SoPro Taproom-only release, initially draft-only, and then in November 2017 in 16.9-oz. bottles. Had at the SoPro Taproom on draft into snifter.
Pours gold with clarity first pour but deep hazy gold when bottle dumped, with huge, creamy near-white head, with excellent retention, before dropping to a persistent film which leaves a coating of fine lace etched down the glass. Aromas of sweet stone fruit then huge tart fruit off pour, then aromas of berries, Brett funk, and tarter stone fruit, and some definite but complementary saison spice and Noble herbals showing as warms, with all aromas continuing until the denouement: quince, the tartest of stone fruit aromas. On tasting, cracker malt body is perceived momentarily before sharp tartness takes over, and is itself momentarily interrupted by big citrusy lime, then by deeper, melon-like fruit, before continuing into an extremely drying, tart but very clean finish.
Upfront and in your face tart, extraordinarily fruity, balanced with saison spice and an almost there cracker malt base, before an evanescent, champagne-like finish.
