Golden ale aged in oak with our house mix culture; it's blended, unfiltered and spiked with fresh Brett upon packaging. This beer will change over time, but it currently exhibits pear, green grape skin, oak and horse blanket.

Collective Consciousness, part of SoPro's Wild & Wood series, had a limited Feb. 2018 draft-only release at the SoPro Taproom, and a limited June 2018 release in corked and caged 750-ml. bottles. Had in March 2018 at the taproom on draft into tulip, and, after seven years bottle conditioning, in Aug. 2025 poured from 750-ml. bottle into Teku tulip.
Pours cloudy, then hazy with some sediment, and light melon-gold, with 1-finger near-white head, which soon drops to a creamy, partial film, leaving only a little sketchy lace. Lots of lactic sour aroma and Brett funk off the pour, with pear and white wine grape aromas peeking from behind the sour funk, and all dropping a bit to reveal aromas of some tart citrus, a little vanilla, a hint of biscuit and bitter herbals as warms. On tasting, begins nicely tart and lemon-citrusy, with mouthfilling grapefruit, then a little pear and a hint of pineapple, almost masking a base salinity, before a moderately tart, herbal, long, very drying finish.
I did my best, but this complex beer, especially after bottle conditioning from 2018 to 2025, is beyond my palate, or at least beyond my descriptors. Is it okay to conclude: "fantastic"?
