A delicious sour ale loaded with lemon, raspberry, and blood orange, combined with lactose and vanilla to mimic a sherbet frozen treat.

Sherbet Sherpa, or as a friend called it, Tibetan punch, was released, draft-only, at the SoPro Taproom in March 2019, and subsequently on a very limited basis in local markets, and has been re-released semi-regularly through summer 2022. Had in April 2019 at the SoPro Pop-Up Taproom at LD’s Beer Run, Jackson, Mississippi, on draft into pint mason jar.
Pours opaque but bright crimson with 1/2- to 1-finger light pink head, which quickly dissipates to nothing, leaving little to no appreciable lace. Aromas of sharp citrus, raspberry and orange, and then vanilla. Begins lemon-bitter, then tart and fruity berries, with a nice mouthfeel from the lactose, which does not detract from the Berliner tartness, over a nice cracker malt base, leading to a very drying tart, citrusy finish.
Every bit a Berliner, despite the lactose deflection, with wonderfully tart and complementary fruit additions.
