Spoils Of War - Bourbon Barrel-Aged - Marshmallow was released on draft and in 22-oz. bombers at the SoPro Taproom on Black Friday 2018, nearly one year after it was put into Knob Creek barrels. Had poured from 22-oz. bomber into tulip.
This is my third (or fourth) version of Spoils, which was released as a chocolate espresso Sweet Stout. A year in Knob Creek bourbon barrels was perfect for the original. This version, aged in the same Knob Creek barrels, but with marshmallow, is slightly sweeter, but still a nicely balanced after--or before--dinner beverage.
