For this anniversary release, we packed an obscene amount of oats into this 8.5% Double IPA, creating a thick and creamy backdrop for the dose of hops to come. We chose to utilize the new hop Strata and pair it with Idaho 7 and Mosaic for a SoPro birthday appropriate dry hopping.

CAN: 16 fl oz with a white and orange label. Pull-tab.
"Double IPA." Brewed with Strata, Idaho 7, and Mosaic.
Murky orange body. Ain't much to look at. Fluffy generic off-white head. Not very enticing appearance-wise.
TASTE: Orange, lychee, floral hop notes, pale malts, flaked wheat, mandarin orange, papaya.
Simple and shallow, lacking hop pungency and depth of flavour.
TEXTURE: Smooth, soft, wet, medium-bodied, near ideal in terms of carbonation, silky, coating, approachable. Not unrefreshing. Its sliminess helps it accentuate the lychee note.
OVERALL: An ostensible Double IPA that doesn't showcase any hop varietal particularly well and lacks adequate hop pungency. Even assertive pale ales (e.g. Zombie Dust) have more hop pungency than this. A decent effort, but it should stay a one-off anniversary beer. Not a brew I'd buy again especially at its egregious ~$5 per can price point.

Thank You was an anniversary release at the SoPro Taproom in early May 2019, and market-wide later that month. Had poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on “05/07/19 THANKYOU,” into nonic pint.
Beautiful hazy aromatic complicated dank fruity juice bomb.
