Space to Face IPA 4x dry hopped makes a triumphant return. Spelt IPA with lactose dry hopped with 4 charges of Citra, Citra Cryo, Galaxy, and Nelson. One of our heaviest dry hopped beers and a SoPro favorite.

Thank you SouthernSips for this
16 oz can, dated 11/13/2020, poured into a teku
A- A hazy bright golden straw with a two finger white head.
S- Citrus, wet grass, a little earthy, some melons/tropical fruits, touch of stone fruits.
T- Citrus, earthy, wet grass, some tropical fruits/melons, some peaches/stone fruit.
M- Smooth, creamy, medium body.
O- A tasty and well done NEIPA, it is pushing two months old and still hold up but it seems like the more tropical flavors are fading.

This 4X Dry-Hopped "gold tentacle" Space to Face was a small-batch, taproom-only release at the SoPro Taproom in Aug. 2019, and entered the regular taproom release rotation in January 2020, each time on draft and in pint 4-packs to go. Had following initial release at the taproom on draft into tulip, and then poured from pint can into nonic pint, and try not to miss a release.
Pours creamy opaque tangerine, with 1-finger to huge, creamy off-white head, with excellent retention leaving beautiful etched rings of Belgian lace down the glass. Big aroma of juicy tropical fruit off pour, soon joined by sharp citrus, but growing significantly dank as well as revealing sharp stone fruit and berry aromas as warms. On drinking, begins with sharp citrus, moderated by sweet lactose, with malt in evidence, together creating a hugely creamy mouthfeel, joined by peach and resin, and perhaps some pepper, and carrying into a sharp, biting citrus finish, but over that wonderfully creamy mouthfeel, for a big but friendly finish.
The Nov. 2025 release, which substitutes Krush hops for the usual Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin, pours identically to earlier releases, except for leaving thick rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of sweet orange, farmyard grainy funk and biting lime off pour, then a little dry-hopping resin and more tropical melon and sweet stone fruit aromas, with the lime and melon aromas continuing, joined by a little peach aroma as warms. On tasting, begins with tropical melon and crisp carbonation, and some mild, nutty (spelt) malt, all over a thick, smooth mouthfeel, then a nice pine resin bite, which carries into a lot of sweet citrus and biting lime, and some grainy barnyard dankness, a little peach, some spice, and some fresh berries before a crisp, citrus rind, substantial, lasting finish.
Delivering bigger fruit aromas and flavors than the regular tropical, citrus DDH S2F smoothie, 4X DH S2F is also seriously dank, and drinks like a DIPA without a bigger ABV to counsel caution.
