CAN: 16 fl oz. Standard pull-tab. Cost $4.29 USD plus tax at a beer store in New Orleans, LA. 4-packs run $14.99 USD at the brewery.

"Fruit punch Berliner-style weisse." 4.7% ABV. "Fruited ale."

AROMA: Very tropical, fresh, and enticing, hitting on fruity notes of apricot, guava, passionfruit, orange, clementine, and peach. There's some lactobacillus sourness and tartness. Fresh wheat and 2-row are neutral, bending to the whims of the fruit. Doesn't seem too sweet in spite of its obvious fruitiness.

Its freshness coupled with its authenticity is fantastic - this doesn't evoke fruit puree or artificial fruit/natural flavor, it actually seems like real fruit.

Aromatic intensity is moderately high for the style.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Smacky and acidic, hitting on all the tropical fruit notes found in the aroma - though they don't taste quite as fresh as they smelled. Soft and refreshing with perfect carbonation. I'd prefer it more sour, tart, and bacterial (it's maybe a 3/10 in terms of sourness), but the soft wheat backbone is quite pleasant alongside the mellow fruits. More of a citrus emphasis would likely play better to the lactobacillus, but this goes after more tropical fruit flavours, de-emphasizing the citrus. Balanced and enjoyable across the board, though it could use better depth of flavour.

Still more acidity would be nice. It's well-carbonated, smooth, and wet.

OVERALL: I wouldn't shell out $4.29 for another can, but price aside it's a tasty and refreshing Berliner weisse that captures some nice fresh fruit notes. One of the better beers I've tried from Southern Prohibition, and certainly what the kids would call skullable.
