Mandela Effect, part of the Wild & Wood series, was a limited, SoPro Taproom-only release in Sept. 2019, only in 16.9-oz. bottles. Had poured from 16.9-oz. bottle, labeled 2019, into tulip.
Pours mild, light-gold with clarity, slightly-hazed from sediment on second pour, and 1/2-finger, fizzing near-white head, that quickly dissipates to a thick, persistent ring, leaving hardly any lace. Aromas of white wine grape, biting tartness and mild biscuit malt off pour, then aromas of fruit including strawberry and pear, with tart aroma diminishing and a hint of spice aroma showing as warms. On tasting, begins crisp and tartly fruity, and moderately mouth-filling, with a lot of apricot, some sweet pear and other orchard fruit, which last and carry, over a hint of mild malt, into a crisp, slightly tart, very drying finish, with complementary funk and oak barrel vanilla afters.
Nearly light (gold) and headless, aromatically fruity and unbeerlike, and crisply fruity and unmalty enough to approximate a refreshing white wine.
