Oats and Unmalted Wheat create a fluffy IPA to snuggle with two massive dry hop doses of Strata, Nelson Sauvin, and Citra Cryo. Cute, but intense?️?

Joyride DDH IPA was a SoPro taproom-only release on draft and in pint can 4-pks. for the Friday the 13th Holiday Party in December 2019. Had at the SoPro Taproom on draft into tulip, and also poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on “12/11/19,” into nonic pint.
Pours hazy not-quite orange-juice gold with minimal near-white head on draft and 1-finger plus oatmeal-stout like head from the can, with excellent retention, leaving big chunky rings of lace down the glass. Nice white wine grape aroma to start, expanded with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and spice, and of dry-hopping resin as it warms. On tasting, mild carbonation delivers a neutral hop bite up front, then white wine grape arrives, and carries through big tropical fruit, over mild malt, and into a resinous finish.
The big tropical and citrus fruits in the aroma and flavor of this innovative NEIPA are complemented by white wine grape and grounded by DDH resin as warms.
