This DDH IPA is weighing in at 7.5% abv with a heavy hand of flaked, malted, and unmalted wheat. Made with a large Citra dose in the whirlpool and a first dry hop charge of sticky Strata, Idaho 7, Motueka, and Citra Cryo (equal parts). The second dose finishes this beast with a large second helping of Idaho 7, and Motueka. This golden nectar is dripping with notes of fresh honeydew, sticky cannabis, and mango pineapple sorbet.

The Greatest Story Ever Told (original red label) was a SoPro taproom-only release in August 2020 on draft and in (red label) pint can 4-pks., followed by a very limited draft-only market release. Had poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "08/14/20," into nonic pint.

The OG GS pours cloudy but bright-gold with 1 & 1/2-finger near-white head, with excellent retention leaving splotchy rings of lace beautifully down the glass. Very juicy initial fruity aroma, and then sharp citrus rind aroma, with dry-hopped resin showing in back, and dankness appearing and dominating as warms. On tasting, moderate carbonation delivers sweet malt then juicy citrus and tropical melon, before biting citrus and pine resin carry into a beyond crisp finish.

This Story takes us first to New England, hitting us with big juicy fruit in the aroma right off the pour, and on first tasting. Then we are carried to the West Coast on successive waves of melon, citrus and resin, before finally settling in Humboldt as the aroma turns dank, balanced by an oh-so-crisp finish.
