Terp; Motivation (Do you speak Terpenese?) was a SoPro Taproom-only, draft-only release in Oct. 2020, and was re-released in 04/2024, again Taproom-only, but this time also in pint can 4-pks. Had in 2020 at the Taproom on draft into tulip, and again in 2024 on draft and poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "04/05/24," into Rastal Harmony oversized red wine glass.
Pours opaque but beautiful, creamy tangerine dreamsicle, topped with up to 1-finger of creamy near-white head, that does not last yet leaves some sketchy lace. Aromas of a little cream, a bit of herbal bite, then growing tartness and big fruit off pour, then some more cream aroma, all shaping into big tangerine and some guava funk aromas as warms, with a bit of banana aroma backing. On tasting, begins mildly tart but very nicely creamy, from both the lactose and the banana purée, over a little biscuit, with that structural and taste backbone also delivering a little banana flavor before carrying a nice mix of big tangerine and funky guava into a big biting citrus finish.
Classic beer name (find the video of the Young Terp from 2020); great fruited Berliner Weisse.
