SELFIE destruct ddh IPA is back and geared up for a limited distro run in the month of FEBRUARY!
We added more flake and malted oats to this “red” batch and changed the dry hop slightly to mimic the original “white labeled new world” version from back in the day. The results are intense melon, pineapple, and citrus notes. Soft yet tropical thanks to the 1st dose of Citra, Citra Cryo, and Azacca. The second round of dry hopping layered more melon and pineapple from more Citra and Citra Cryo in conjunction with Idaho 7 and a pinch of Kohatu.

This red-label version of Selfie Destruct, which boosts the flaked and malted oats, and changes up the dry hop with first Citra, Citra Cryo, and Azacca, and second more Citra and Citra Cryo with Idaho 7 and a pinch of Kohatu, was a Feb. 2021 release on draft at the SoPro Taproom and in pint can 4-pks. at the taproom and in limited markets. Had poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "02/07/21," into nonic pint.
Pours grapefruit juice with 2-finger, oatmeal-dimpled, near-white head, with good retention, leaving beautiful overlapping rings of lace down the glass. Aroma very fruity and juicy and a bit grassy right off the pour, turning tropical and pineapple, with sharp citrus and peach joining as warms. Begins crisp and even biting, then mild sweet malt and the incredibly smooth body take over, leading into straight citrus over dry malt before a crisp, dry finish.
Juicier aroma and noticeably smoother than OG Selfie, but a subtler tropical drink experience.
