Brain Freeze was a SoPro Taproom-only release in Feb. 2021 on draft and in pint can 4-pks. Had poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "02/12/21," into nonic pint.
Pours deep orange juice, with creamy 1-finger near-white head, which dissipates to a persistent film, leaving nice sketchy lace down the glass. Aroma of citrus peel, spice and malt off the pour, then mild citrus and white wine, soon joined by big melon, and finally some kiwi tartness. Begins with big carbonation leading into a little white wine, before melon and big strawberry arrive, carried over a smooth lactose body, and then into a crisp, biting, tart kiwi-influenced finish.
It's a strawberry milkshake, as if reinvented by a top dessert chef.
