Sherbet Sherpa Mango Tango was a SoPro Taproom-only, draft-only, release in April 2021. Had poured from 32-oz. crowler, label handwritten “SS Mango Tango," and "Best By: 05/15,” filled at taproom on 05/12/2021, into SoPro Teku 3.0.
Pours deep, opaque melon-gold with 2-finger near-white head, which quickly dissipates to a thin but persistent ring and film, leaving little or no lace. Aroma of sweet pineapple, sharp tangerine and growing sweet vanilla. Begins with a little citrus bite, before overriding smooth mango and vanilla sweetness, then biting tangerine over a little perceptible cracker malt, for a drying, slightly tart finish.
Not typically tart for a Berliner, probably due to the vanilla, but complexly fruity in aroma and flavors, and the smooth vanilla makes the crisp, edging-into-tart finish all the more engaging.
