MIMOSA SOUR ALE aka our sour based beer dripping with blood orange and tangerine kissed with a pinch of lactose.

Everyone knows someone who just brunches better than most or at least thinks they do. Mimosas are not only for breakfast and this interpretation is no difference. sitting at a comfy 5% abv it’s juicy, tart, and refreshing.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange juice color with a one finger head that fritters away; no lacing

Smell: Sweet and tart orange juice elements, kind of like Tang but with a better OJ profile

Taste: Sweet Tangerine forward with the tart Blood Orange developing in the middle; the finish brings aspects of both

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with low carbonation initially but it becomes still rather quickly

Overall: I guess this mimics a Mimosa although the Champaign element is hard to incorporate; enjoyable

Brunch Day All-Stars was released for distribution in 03/2022 on draft and in pint can 4-pks. Had at Saltine, Jackson, Miss., on draft into tumbler.

Pours cloudy but beautiful ruby grapefruit-gold, with fizzing, 1- to 2-finger near-white head, which quickly dissipates to nothing, leaving no lace. Aroma of grassy hops and cracker malt off pour, and then tart citrus, and finally abiding mild fruit juice. Begins nicely tart and citrusy, but with major lactose smoothness, before sweet citrus flavors and mild bite carry into a creamy, mouth-coating but drying finish.

Very much a mimosa beer, from the fizzing, soon gone head, to the balanced mix of carbonation, citrus and alcohol, except for that incongruous but not unwelcome smooth body and creamy finish, from added lactose.
