IIIII IIII (Nine) was released on May 21, 2022, at the SoPro Taproom on draft and in pint can 4-pks. for Southern Prohibition’s 9th Anniversary Party. Had at the taproom on draft into type of pokal.
Pours light gold with clarity, and 1-finger, creamy near-white head, with decent retention leaving some sketchy rings of lace etched partway down the glass. Aroma of hop spice off pour, joined by tropical fruit and (a little) sweet malt aromas as warms. Begins crisply bitter yet smooth and creamy, with the creamy body continuing throughout, and then sweet light malt and deft tropical fruit evidence, before a nicely bitter, crisp finish.
Tropical noble hop aromas, crisp in the start and finish, over a smooth, just a bit malty body--let's call this a South Pacific Italian Pilsner.
