Our new rice lager dubbed Oni Giri, made with toasted and puff jasmine rice and barley. Dry, crispy, and floral … definitely a crusher.

Oni Giri was a SoPro Taproom-only release in June 2022 and only on draft. Had at the Taproom on side pull, slow pour draft into 18-oz. rounded seidel.
Pours pale yellow-gold with clarity and (on side pull, slow pour) 2-finger, dense, creamy near-white head, with great retention, pulling some splotchy lace down the glass. Some hop spice aroma, joined by a little mild (barley) malt, and some florals as warms. Begins with a nicely creamy mouthfeel, then a little hop spice and stone fruit take over, before giving way to the unrelentingly creamy body, which carries into a nicely crisp, still a bit malty finish.
A classically European pilsner in its Noble hop spice and floral character, over a tremendously creamy rice body, delivered on sure-to-please side pull, slow pour draft.
