Juicy Icebox was a limited release in 07/2022 in select markets on draft and in pint can 4-pks., and a limited market re-release as Cherry Lime Icebox in 07/2023 on draft and in pint can 4-pks. Had poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "07/12/2022," into Rastal Harmony oversized red wine glass, and again after 2023 re-release poured from pint can, bottom stamped "CANNED BY JOHN" on "07/31/23," into like oversized wine glass.
Pours beautiful raspberry red with clarity, despite (occasional) (fruit?) sediment, with 1-finger very light pink head, which slowly dissipates away, and leaves only a few specks of lace. Aroma of cracker malt, cherry skins and tart fruit off pour, then more straight fruit juice, and finally a little briny character. Begins crisp carbonation and biting lime over cracker malt, then nice tartness, which gives way to cherry and a little earthy and sweet passion fruit, and a slightly lactose-smoothed body, before a moderately drying and crisp but not very tart finish.
Very drinkable fruit beer, that uses the gose character, itself moderated by lactose, mainly to keep from being straight fruit punch.
