Prelude was released in May 2023 for the 14th Season of FestivalSouth, a multi-disciplinary arts celebration in Hattiesburg, in 12-oz. cans. Had poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "05/03/23" and "canned by DARBY," into pilsner glass.

Pours gold with crystal clarity and 1-finger near-white head, with good retention, leaving a little sketchy lace down the glass. Mild, sweet orchard fruit aroma off pour, and then floral aromas, growing as warms. On tasting, begins sweet and mildly malty, then mild orchard fruit, with the malt continuing into a crisp, slightly spicy and floral finish.

An authentic Helles but on the easier-drinking side, as Noble hop spice is minimized to just mostly crispy.
