A special 8% Gose was created and laid to rest in American oak barrels that previously held Bristow Reserve Gin. After the tart and salty base married with the oak and botanical notes we pulled off 4 parts and added something different to each one:
_02- mint & lime
The resulting beers can barely be classified as such. Reminiscent of a cocktail or at the very least a non traditional beer offering. These libations are limited and ready to drink now though I imagine age will turn them into something special as well.

Loading _ 02 (Gin Barrel-Aged Gose Ale with Mint & Lime) was released in Sept. 2022 at the SoPro Taproom on draft and in 16.9-oz. bottles. Had poured from like bottle into Rastal Harmony oversized red wine glass.
Pours deep, cloudy, old gold, with minimal, fizzing near-white head, which immediately dissipates to nothing, leaving no lace. Huge lime aroma off pour, and continuing, joined by a little mint, and eventually a little gin barrel as warms. On tasting, begins minty and malty, then big, full fruity and biting lime joins with mint continuing, with a little salt feel accumulating, and all carrying into a malty, long minty finish.
Gose character is not that evident due to large innoculations of lime and mint, in this rather odd beer, but tasty malty, mint and lime creation.
