Crowd Control X was a May 2025 release, commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Crowd Control, for SoPro's 12 year anniversary, only at the SoPro Taproom, on draft and in 12-oz. 4-pks. Had at the Taproom on 12-oz. draft into type of pokal.
Pours orange-juice hazy, deep gold with 1-finger creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of big orange rind, moderate pine resin and a little dankness, mild malt and sweet berries off pour, then some pear aroma, with the orange rind and pine resin aromas continuing, joined as warms with aromas of peach, mango and strawberry. On tasting, begins extremely creamy with sweet orange and biting lime, then big mango, and lots of sweet berry, and also pear as warms, all carrying into a drying, very piney, moderately bitter, mild malt-anchored, and eventually a bit, but only a bit, alcohol-warming finish.
At 10.00, this Triple version of the classic 8.00 Crowd Control is of course bigger and even more tropical with the added Krush hops, but also, surprisingly, smoother and creamier, yet with an even more bracing finish.
