Probably not the most accurate choice of styles. RateBeer calls it a "Belgian (under 7%)" and illpass' review seems to agree.
And given the idiosyncratic kitchen and cultural emphasis on the art of the meal for this part of Spain, I say call this a Flanders Red. I don't read about barrel-aging or blending on DeDues' website, but I can believe both are in this bottle.
Regardless of what we call DeDues Original, I call it a fine ale. While unusual in Looks (not unlike a smoggy day in the beautiful LA Basin, but that's because I poured in too much sediment), it recovers nicely and Smells fine; mostly malt and tart fruits. What seems to be a good yeast shows its consistent work through in the Taste from refreshing attack to lingering tart finish. I give this special OA points because it went well with my bowl of pesto; not surprising because the Catalan kitchen uses basil a lot.
Will I have this again ? I'm going to buy another bottle and stand it up next to my favorite Flanders Red.

375 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy rusty colour from the green bottle. 1 finger of white foam.
Smells super malty, some fruitiness that insinuates some sort of tartness. Only insinuates.
Wow
The taste does have the malt up front, similar to what you would get from an English Old Ale but the fruity tartness shines as well. Apricot? Peach? Whatever. A match made well to my palate.
Good mouthfeel and very drinkable.
Here is a delicious beer from Spain. Don't hesitate to grab a bottle if you see it.

12.7 oz. bottle poured into a tulip.
Appearance: Pours a murky amber with a huge cream-colored head. Lots and lots of spotty lacing on the way down.
Aroma: Smells of malts, some apricot, some plum or raisin-like fruits, and some funky yeastiness.
Taste: Taste follows the nose. Pretty tasty Belgian-style ale.
Mouthfeel: Medium depth. Works for any season.
Overall: This was a nice find. A Spanish take on a Belgian-style dubbel. At least that's what it strikes me as. Worth a try.
