Rum barrel aged barleywine in a 19.2oz can. Yes I drank the whole thing over maybe 3 hours. This is a good, not great beer, and I bought a few so it will be instructive to see
if and how this develops over time. It’s a tasty barleywine with a decent barrel presence and it’s leaner and drier than one might expect, but a bit lacking in depth of flavor. For something of this magnitude a bit more richness, sweetness, and body would be welcome, even if the end result would be less drinkability. Yes, it sounds ludicrous but this is fairly drinkable for an 11% run barrel aged barleywine. Would love more those oxidized raisin and date flavors to be amplified a bit.
