Austin Beer Garden "Festbier"
on tap at the brewery 4 November 2015, $4 pint
Notes: Brass highlights within a copper-orange body beneath a frothy white head. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma of Munich malts (ready, toasty, very slightly caramelish) and spicy/grassy hops. The flavor follows. Well balanced and rounded. Moderately bitter at 20 IBUs. Clean, mainly dry finish with just a hint of residual hop. Very nicely done! Many breweries take it too far or don't deliver enough but this one's right on the mark.
