Draft at the brewery
Rich thick creamy tan head with great retention, tons if lacing, black almost inky color
Nose smooth roast, a bit of coffee but not overly roasty, dark chocolate cocoa, baking spices, little cookie dough and vanilla spice,
Taste is rich, creamy thick chocolate ganache, cocoa, fair roasted malts, coffee liquor, chewy chocolate oatmeal, a bit of nougat candy bar, baking spices and cookie dough, hint of anise, fair spicy hop bitterness, semi sweet sticky finish, lingering med spicy hop bitterness and roasted malt bitterness
Mouth is fuller bod but not super thick, high frothy carb, a touch of warming alcohol
Overall pretty good RIS, well balanced and not over the top on anything, good bitterness level, alcohol fairly hidden, not too thick and chewy, a nice sipper
