From a can, this brew is a dark orange color with a white head. The aroma has a wonderful mix of soft malt and honey. There is also a floral, fresh quality. The taste has honey and amber malt with a medium mouthfeel and a resiny bitterness in the finish. I'm not always a fan of honey beers....they're often too sweet. This one, however, is well made.

Poured out a clear, amber color with a small head of foam. It smelled fruity and malty with a dose of caramel toastiness. Very sweet and malty with caramel and toffee. Mild bitter bite. It was crisp and sharp.

Latitude 42 School House Honey Amber.
First beer outta these guys. Not exactly sure what to expect since I think they are a fairly new brewery. Amber's are not my favorite style by any stretch of the imagination. But hey, let's see what we get
Look - Only poured enough into the glass to get a good look at it. The pour leans more towards a honey golden color than a true amber. Head is massive and frothy as expected from a can. The carbonation appears to be pretty high and lively and the lacing left is medium in nature. 3.75.
Smell - Honey levels are on maximum with a moderate touch of aluminum though it isn't off putting what so ever. Caramel malts and ripe, brightly fruityness comes through as well.4.
Taste - Taste virtually follows the nose to a tee. A gargantuan honey opening day with just a touch of the aluminum tinniness and a caramel maltyness to rival even the best reds and ambers. What surprised me the most is the ever apparent hop level in this beer. They aren't what I would call dank but they are fruity and vivid and very welcoming. 4.
Feel - Body is very cooling almost like an ice cold bottle if water on a hot July afternoon in the middle of Florida. Very light in nature and the carbonation is noticeable and a touch prickly thought no even near offensive. 3.75.
Overall - To be quite honest this is probably my favorite amber. It isn't a fantastically complex brew by any means, but it is very sessionable and tasty enough to keep anybody interested. Would make a perfect brew for a beginner, and a perfect session beer for the pros. I'd grab a sixer sometime. More ambers need the honey addition. 4..
