Pouted into a shifter it has a dark red color and a slight beige off white thin head. Smell of bready grains, citrus, orange peel, oak, touch of vanilla, lots of malt, and a bit of berry in the background. Taste is a ton of cognac, lots of bready malt, vanilla, slight citrus, dry toasted oak, caramel, and a good amount of nuttiness. Mouthfeel is moderate to full, body as well, with a low to moderate carbonation. A very well done barrel aged barleywine with a lot of complex flavor from the cognac while maintaining a big filling malty flavor.
