On tap at the brewery's gastropub in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This may be the best looking barleywine I've ever come across. Reddish-brown body has high clarity and is topped with a creamy beige head that probably has the best retention I've encountered in a barleywine.
The weakest aspect is the aroma, which is boozy and a bit medicinal. The mouthfeel also displays the high ABV.
Improved with warming.
