16 oz can from the brewery (thanks BH) with a BB date stamped near the top of 14 April 2022 [Hey, that's today, but no worries ... it's been kept cold and probably has a considerably longer shelf life].
Appearance. This has an essentially black body with a good beige head but little lacing.
Aroma. Cinnamon, dark roasted grains, cocoa and faint hops.
Flavor. A notch better than the aroma suggests with better balance.
The cinnamon is less prominent while more chocolate, sweet apple juice, more dark bread and some coffee notes appear. It strikes the tongue as rather sweet but this rapidly turns to very mild bitterness.
Overall. One of the best of the Intracoastal 'Cereal Series'. This distinctive stout has partially hidden ABV.
