I bought two these at Beer Temple. That will be enough since it is clear Gin Barrel is losing its audience's attention span (UnTapped has 654 ratings and only two in the last 30 days.) So, why make a big culinary statement?

The most curious aspect is this Looks like a lager with a good yeast. But of course, it is supposed to resemble a messy saison; hence a not so good rating. As for Smells, mute for a saison. Tastes are balanced; a bit too much ABV and cucumber for the food to play with the saison... but OK, we are after all inventing. Feel is cleansing, but also some cloying cucumber.

As for my high Overall Hugs, partly this is because Birdsong Gin is good with my world-famous vegetable soup. And I also am a promoter of Temperance because it is ironic in the hometown of the Women's Christian Temperance Union who prescribed the wrong solution to the right problem of male hegemony.
