Stopped by to see what was on tap tonight with my growler in hand. A stout seemed like a good choice with all of the snow.
Appearance- Not a lot of head on this but what was there was frothy carmel color.
Smell- yea a little coffee on the nose but not over powering. The smell is nice but it didn't make me want to dive in.
Taste- Great tasting beer that has an early cream and bitterness from the coffee. I can tell it is brewed with really nice high quality coffee. The taste sits with you for a little while and makes you want to reach for another drink of this nice beer.
mouthfeel- Well I have reranked this part 3 times while typing this up. I can't decide if it tastes flat or what. I got this growler 25 minutes ago so it is just the life put in this one. That said damn it is smooth. I actually think I like the amount of carbonization on this beer.
Overall- I am impressed with this beer. I am having a coffee beer night at the house for me and a few friends and I plan on having a growler of this on hand for the group that is for sure.

From notes, reviewed 1/13/12.
On-tap @ Table Rock brewpub, served in a pint shaker.
A: Appears an opaque and very dark brown with almost no head.
S: Nice coffee presence, hints of cherry wood, smoke and roasted malt.
T: Good, well-rounded bitterness and smoothness. Great coffee flavor with nice nutty and woody notes...a bit of chalky unsweetened cocoa as well.
MF: Very creamy medium body, light carbonation gives it a silky touch.
O: A real good coffee stout, with hints of a Brown Ale as well. Recommended.
