I first enjoyed supernatural after a long bike ride on the W&OD bike trail. The hibiscus aroma was wonderful. The beer is one to sip and allow the flavor to linger.

The beer pours a fairly light head and a has a very good, clear ruby appearance to. The look is absolutely gorgeous.
The smell and taste are fantastic. The smell has a very nice combination of a wine and saison note that is pretty good. The wine notes are that of a nice red with a tiny hint of fruitiness and hibiscus flower as well that show up in the smell and taste. The saison notes are a good and moderate orange note floating around with a very light bready yeast note. The taste has a prominent orange hop note laced with light hibiscus and slight obvious yeast note in the finish. There is also a light toffee malt note that shows up in the taste.
The feel is pretty good and interesting for a barrel aged saison. The body is slightly heavy but more medium with a light carbonation to it. It is thinnish but not watery. It still has a dry finish to it.
Overall, this year's supernatural was a pretty good one compared to the previous ones. It maintains what one would expect from a saison while adding a lot extra.
