On-tap at Central BBQ, Memphis, TN

A: The beer is crystal clear orange amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high dense off white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacy rings around the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with hints of spices.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of tasted mets with hints of sweetness and spices.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a nice representation of the style and is very drinkable.

This is a great American made marzen lager. That said what takes this beer from so so to great is the look and taste. It pours a nice deep copper with a nice head. The taste has almost a malty/sweet bite with a kick of subtle hoppyness with an added wheatieness which gives this marzen a great heavy taste which to me is a great example of a marzen. A splendid marzen indeed in my honest opinion.

12 oz can.
This is a slightly bold version of the style. At first, it seemed that the hop/malt balance was a touch too high, but it seemed just fine after some warming.
Overall: recommended.

Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce can into dimpled mug, canned on 8/14/2017. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy cream colored head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity of bready malts and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an outstanding Marzen! All around awesome complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter finish. Very rich and complex Munich/Vienna malt character, just enough hop presence to balance the sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a bronze/amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, some breadiness. Taste is bready malts, just a hint of caramel,a touch of sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and decent beer.

I bought a can of this off the single shelf at Binnys. It poured a clear copper with thin white head that left some lace. The taste was nicely balanced with hop finish. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Taste: hint of sweet malt, spice, bready, gentle finish.
Same with the nose. Dark amber, mostly clear, tall tan foam head with a broken lattice of lace on glass. Easy drinker. 24 IBUs

Amber with good clarity, a finger of foam, and some sudsy lacing left behind. Aroma is soft and lightly estery with some apple notes and toasty bread crust maltiness. Light bitterness, clean malt sweetness, dry and toasty in the finish with a lingering apple butter fruitiness.

Smooth and light bodied, supple carbonation, easy drinking. Overall a great Oktoberfest, clean and well made. The sixer didn't last 24 hours.
