A- Poured opaque black into a goblet at Haymarket Pub and Brewery. About 1 inch of mocha colored foam that quickly drops into the beer, leaving some pretty impressive lacing, a coating really, on the side of the glass. Nice.
S - Bitter chocolate, burnt grain and coffee dominate, with a hint of dark cherry. Don't know where that comes from.
T - I get the chocolate, grain and coffee, but add to that some hop resin and astringency; some alcohol warmth at the end.
M - A little light and effervesent on the tongue for the style. Some hop oils too.
O - Overall, I like this beer! Very well done RPS!
