Tastes like someone dumped bug spray flavored artificial flavoring into a flat IPA. It felt like water on my tongue, not like a decent ale. It had that artificial flavoring taste layered on top of an IPA flavor, and yet somehow managed to remain monotone. I literally dumped 3/4 can down the drain. I don't do that. I don't waste beer. But this was undrinkable.

Hazy yellow gold color with white cap and lacing.
Aroma like the herb section of a home garden after a light rain with a bit of citrus blossoms and pine trees just over the fence.
Taste is a complex melange of hops that closely match the scent with herbal aspects dominating. Still comes across as a pleasant mixture though. Malt is there in the body but I don't notice it very much in the taste. Hops are strong in this one but with a light handed touch, no firmness or any real bitterness for that matter which is a bit surprising considering it's 65 IBU. I get some of the usual Belgian yeast touches in the aftertaste but not a clove/banana thingy, rather like a bit of fruit in the background.
Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.
Frankly I have no idea what a Belgian IPA is or how it's supposed to taste but I like this brew. It's not the my hops are bigger than your hops approach some brewers take to differentiate their IPAs.

12 oz can served in a pint glass. No canning date.
Golden-amber body topped by a white head with moderate size and decent retention.
Hints of tropical fruits in the mild aroma give way to a more pungent, powerful, funky and grassy flavor. High bitterness for style.
Medium body and carbonation.

Wiseacre is one of the better breweries in the Southeastern US.
Having said that, this beer is rather... OK.
Unripe banana is the dominate flavor and nose. It is appealing in many ways. Finishes dry. Incredibly drinkable given the ABV.
But the profile of this one is just a little off. Tiny Bomb is a home run. Ananda is a grand slam. The seasonal offerings at Wiseacre are can't miss. But this one is just ok.

Pours an effervescent honey color with 3 fingers of fluffy pearl colored head. Good head retention & lacing
S: Some breadyness & cloves
T: Follows the nose, a little green banana peel as well along with a little white pepper. A little malt sweetness sneels under clove bitterrness & green banana peel once warm. Green banana peel, dryness & white grapeskin along with pear as this warms. Finishes with cloves a little band-aid taste & dryness, along with some bitter melon
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation
Drinks okay, was expecting more, this is a rare not wow from these guys
