Standard doppelbock. Brown sugar, molasses, caramel, chocolate. Sweet and malty.

Caramel copper color with tan head. A little dry for the mouthfeel.

Pours a dark reddish-brown with a one-finger, almond colored head.
Wonderful dark fruit and carmel malt smell.
Wonderful and refreshing taste that follows the nose. A slight black licorice taste, and nutty presence. Very tasty.
A medium body. A fuller-bodied Dopplebock.

Pours a scarlet-hued mahogany with 2 fingers of pillowy caramel colored head. Pretty nice lacing & head retention

S: Bready, a little figgy & toasty once warm

T: A little cocoa, dryness, apricot, plus brown bread up front. Turns a bit dry, with a little bit of fig & brown bread as this warms, some toastyness shows as well, a little boozeyness as well. Finishes a little toasty, figgy, with some carob & just little raisin, a little dry

MF: Medium body, light carbonation, turns creamier as it warms, warming

Everything you want in a Dopplebock . drinks easy for the style

Poured into a tulip. Slightly hazy caramel color out of the bottle and opaque dark reddish brown in the glass. Nice thick light tan head that retreated fairly quickly. Aromas of plum, raisins, dark bread and subtle spicy German hop notes. Great taste: big chocolate sweet malty sensations with dark fruit, some mild hop flavor and then a big cocoa finish.Medium bodied with a creamy feel on the finish.
