12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left some thin lacing on the glass. It smelled or caramel, toffee and biscuity malt. Sweet caramel maltiness with a grassy, piney bitterness.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear deep amber color with a huge head of off-white foam. The head persists for a very long time, eventually fading and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a roasted malt and bready smell mixed with notes of toffee and caramel. Along with these aromas comes some light grainy and musty smells as well as notes of apple and pear. There is a touch of coffee and a little bit of cola sweetness rounding it all out.
Taste – The taste begins with a toasted and roasted malty flavor that has notes of brown bread and molasses. Other sweet flavors of caramel and toffee are there as well, with these being paired with light fruit flavors of pear and plum. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors get a bit more intense at the expense of some of the roasted and toasted malt. All the while some nutty flavors and a bit of earthy hop develop, and with a touch of seed and grain, one is left with a moderately roasty and an ever so slightly bitter taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and chewiness with a slightly lower carbonation level. For the roast and the flavors the slightly thicker and heavier body and nice, accentuating the roasted and light sweetness of the brew nicely.
Overall – A pretty nice amber ale. Overall, it has a nice balance of sweet, bitter, and roast.
