A year of sleep in port barrels has pushed this beer a step further into sauternes territories. The unique barrels we aged this version of snowbeard were originally port barrels that were then used to house american whiskey for another year before being filled with Snowbeard. With a remarkably full mouthfeel and classic raisiny sweetness, our barleywine walks up to 11.5% ABV and becomes even softer and more delicious. Just the very edge of hops can still be shown as a balance to caramel, plums, and fruitcake. The unmistakable malt giant has arisen from its barrel tomb.
