With a nod to the fruit-forward IPAs of East Coast USA, this laid-back Aussie brew has aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, with hints of pine. Perfectly capturing our idyllic coastal lifestyle, it’s always getting wave reviews.

Also one of 4 on the paddle, this could be better styled as a NEIPA. It Looks hazy and, after a frontal fruit attack, it finishes with a touch of bitter... which is how I remember the better NEIPAs to me. But UnTappd styles it as an AIPA. So be it. (Besides AzfromOz added the brew; he is my only Aussie mate and I don't want to lose one of the few Friends I have.)
East Coast has a better foam than the others on the paddle, but barely. Smells are fruity and Tastes follow with the finish slightly bitter. Refreshing. Light in my mouth. I want to like Sydney more, but not so cold !

This was gifted to me in January 2024 and drunk a week or so later.
L: Bright orangey yellow, with a thin, bright white head and lots of bubbles rushing up the glass.
S: Rich toffee malts and dank citrus peel. This is a throwback to the IPAs of yesteryear.
T: Oh yeah! Big caramel malt notes and dank, bitter grapefruit peel. A lovely, dry-yet-tangy finish begs me to take another sip. The grapefruit bitterness hangs around after the swallow. Outstanding!
M: A full and smooth body buts up against prickly carbonation. A carbonic kick on the swallow and on the way down perfectly annunciates the bracing bitterness of the beer.
O: This is a fantastic, old-school IPA with just enough fruity kick to move it into 2025. However, I am confused by the beer's name, as anything with East Coast in the title these days is associated with soft, pillowy, tropical vibes. There'd be more than one haze-boi tricked into drinking this in the moments before they spit the bitter concoction onto the ground!
Cheers!
