Found in a can at Die Bierothek Munchen.
Brewed collaboratively with The Wild Beer Company (who I like), I was glad to try a Stranger.
Not only do they have Grains of Paradise in the malt bill, but also wheat, buckwheat, and, of course, barley. A malt medley. Looks are lively: bubbles, golden, quasi-hazy, a thin foam that stays and a similar lace.
Smells are special: lime-like and sweet. Tastes are balanced, but perhaps the lime is too strong. So if I have it again, it will be to pair well with foods that like lemon-lime... although the ABV is right for the table. Finishes a bit too limey tart.
Being the first I'd heard or seen of Bevog, I went on their website and was totally impressed. Great design, better artwork and they speak German, but have an English translation button. In an Austrian town bordering Slovenia, Bevog is on a mission to spread the spirit of craft beer in a rather isolated place. Young, Bevog has the BA spirit and, for that, I give them some pretty big OA hugs.
