Got this one from hopsolutely this past summer. Cheers guys!
From a 500ml bottle into a snifter
Robust coffee porter
APPEARANCE: A very clear brown pour yields a 2+ finger, medium looking, creamy light tan head with good retention. Bistre brown body with lower levels of carbonation. Head slowly fades to a full creamy cap. A splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving lots of dotty lacing down the glass. Pretty solid.
SMELL: Some coffee, sweet cream and roasted espresso notes. Vanilla and milk chocolate as well. Very creamy coffee. Bold and very enticing.
TASTE: Nice coffee, sweet cream, milk chocolate and then some roasted, bitter flavors at the swallow. Bolder and lingering finish of sweet cream, vanilla, creamy coffee and milk chocolate, lightly roasted espresso and some bitterness. Wonderful stuff.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body with medium levels of carbonation. Very creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry. Bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: This is excellent. Lovely aroma and the flavor is top notch. The base porter could perhaps be a little more robust for a “robust porter,” but the coffee addition is superb. Possibly the best coffee stout/porter to come out in this region. Well worth seeking out. Cheers guys!

500 mL bottle picked up at the brewery last month; served slightly chilled.
Pours a deep, opaque brown colour with some dark maroon highlights; topped off with one finger of dense, creamy-looking, light beige-tinted head that fades off in a matter of minutes. A foamy collar survives beneath a discontinuous ring of lacing, both of which rim a few islands of bubbly froth. Looks fine, with a fairly typical aroma as far as coffee porters/stouts go - roasted malt-oriented for the most part, with coffee grounds and cocoa overlying hints of molasses, toffee, and chocolate-covered raisin. The coffee opens up a little more as it warms, improving the aroma over time.
Enjoyable to sip for sure, but not exactly what I'd call a stand-out as far as this pseudo-style goes. The taste mostly overlaps with the nose, being dominated by dark malt flavours of chocolate, treacle and coffee. Maybe a little bit of dark fruits/raisin by mid-sip, but the coffee and dark malt tandem do most of the legwork. The profile finishes with flavours of roasted coffee grounds and a subtle, bitter earthiness that lingers into the aftertaste. Nearing medium-bodied, with gentle carbonation and a soft, smooth, almost silky mouthfeel. No sign of the 6.5% abv whatsoever, but the robustness of the flavour will prevent it from sneaking up on you.
Final Grade: 3.93, a B+. Block Three accomplished what they were aiming for - I can't honestly call Guy on a Buffalo anything less than a solid coffee porter. It doesn't knock my socks off with intense coffee flavours, instead taking a more reasoned, nuanced approach. The coffee is dominant, sure, but this porter is not overly bitter, astringent or roasty-tasting. Somewhat better than their Pushbroom Porter, but not strikingly so - I'd probably buy this one again if the price was in that 3-5 dollar range (the sweet spot for pint bottles).
