Pale golden in color and excellent clarity. Great, big foamy off-white head, with very good lacing.
Floral hops on the nose, nothing too aggressive… could this be a “British Ale*”style take on an Imperial IPA?
Very light bitterness (see note, below), and with a very pleasant, and slightly complex malt profile.
Looks good in the glass, has nice malt tones and nice hop aromatics as well. Beyond that, it’s a very, very easy-drinking (dangerously so!) strong ale. But stylistically, it may very well flummox and disappoint those who seek both elevated IBU and aggressive, West Coast style ale and hop characters.
Worth a try.
* Just 25 IBU, as well.
Also: The bottle deposit doesn’t bother me (especially since they’ve been consistent about reusing their bottles within their very small range of self-distribution) in the way that it does the previous reviewer. It also probably helps that I live crawling-distance to the brewery, and have watched them grow from the smallest brewery in the neighborhood to the … smallest brewery in the state!

Decent brew. Their $2 hippie dippy bottle deposit is going to put them out of business - they’re not good enough to make drinking their beer an expensive hassle.
