The Japanese Rice Lager is our take on this style of crisp, clean Asian lager. The pilsner malt backbone is complimented with brown rice, which enhances the refreshingly crisp finish. We then add Wai-iti hops with their fresh notes of lime and mandarin citrus to round out the final product into it’s elegant final form.

S. Smells of herbal hops, fresh wort, and a beautiful cereal note. There is something I just can't describe but I love it.
L. Very pale yellow with nice white 2 finger head. Poured from a 16 oz can into a Guinness Swirl pub glass.
T. Wow..I was blown away by this beer. It tastes like notes of Jasmine, honeysuckle, lemongrass, and toast.
Nice clean finish.
O. Everything I've always wanted in a beer, and more.
I am blown away by this beer's complexity. It is light, but very satisfying.
I am very disappointed I only got one b4 they're gone.
Very well done in my own personal opinion.
Great job guys!

Pours a slightly hazy medium yellow with moderate head and persistent lacing.
Smell is sweet malt with a hint of lemon.
Taste begins with light sweet malt followed by rice and a faintly dry finish.
Quite good

The pour is pale yellow (similar to lemon juice) with a moderate flow of carbonation. The taste is rice, malt, some hops, & a little bit of bitter dryness on the finish. Furthermore, this beer also feel quite filling (meal in a glass) probably from the addition of rice. Oh well, at least now I can say that I had a beer with brown rice added to it. Cheers! B-

L: Straw yellow with a puffy white head. 20oz pint glass is the right size. Partially transparent. Very fine particles are suspended throughout the liquid.

S: A little different. More malty than hoppy. I can't pin down a detail though.

T: Savory. Pleasant through and through. Smooth malts, enough hops to balance the sweetness. It's good, but forgettable.

F: Smooth and easy to drink--it does the work for you.

O: I don't expect much from lager. The best you can do really is brew it clean (and it is). From a beer store POV, the biggest improvement they can make is in the actual packaging. This beer can stand among the best of them, but I can't build an appealing display using 16oz Busch-tier looking cans (they're not).

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that left lots of thick wisps of bubbles on the surface and specks of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of rice are present in the nose along with hints of stone fruit.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of rice. No flavors of hops are detectable, but there are enough underlying hops to contribute a light amount of bitterness and mask any sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: I thought that this rice lager had a perfect amount of hops as this beer still tasted very clean but there was just enough bitterness.
