Our newest iteration of our IPA Series, utilizes an exciting combination of new-school and experimental hops. Sabro, Lotus and HBC 472 hops, delivering a wildly complex flavour profile, which is easiest to describe as a blend of coconut and juicy orange flavour! Trust us, this is perfect for summer sipping!

Pours pale, with some head. The nose is very hop forward with heavy notes of lemongrass and lemon. The nose translates to the body. It is refreshing, though that lemon is slightly obtrusive. Strong carbonation.
In the end it isn't bad, just not something you'd want to specifically seek out when looking for a nice beer.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jul 20 2022 and served barely chilled.

Pours hazy and turbid, its body a pale straw yellow and capped with one finger of soapy, sudsy white head that lasts for several minutes. A narrow collar and filmy cap live on, with a modest smattering of lace flung about - looks like a typical NEIPA to me. The nose is totally not what I was expecting, with oak wood, cedar needles and coconut being the first three things that come to mind - after that, I'm also getting hints of lemon, vanilla, mandarin orange, apricot and pineapple.

This is just such a weird pale ale: it's undoubtedly creative, but not necessarily what I'm craving when I crack open an IPA. Vanilla, pineapple and lightly caramelized sugars at the forefront, with flavours of orange, oak and coconut bringing up the rear. The coconut and woodsy notes persist through a somewhat bitter finish and into the aftertaste, with suggestions of vanilla and orange peel followed by a pithy dryness. Medium in body, with gentle carbonation and a smooth, fluffy mouthfeel that helps this brew go down easy.

Final Grade: 3.97, a B+. IPA No. 22 is delightfully strange, somehow managing to mimic some of the flavours and aromas of an oak barrel-aged beer without any physical barrels being involved. I suppose this must be due to the unique HBC 472 hops, with the coconutty Sabro hops serving to complement, if not outright amplify them. In the context of an IPA, I am not a huge fan of these flavours individually... but multiplied together, they do make for a compelling product. A neat beer that is well worth trying - don't be afraid to pick up a can today, as it's still drinking nicely four months on.

Pours a hazy yellow colour, very small head. Hoppy with tropical notes on the smell. I get bits of coconut and pineapple on the taste but just in the bs ground. Hops up front. Smooth mouthfeel, and mor3 coconut on the aftertaste

A-Hazy pale yellow with a thick bright white head that lingers
S-Aromas of lime, coconut and subtle spearmint
M-Peppery bite and medium carbonation detract from what could have been. Medium body
T-Distinct Sabro flavour in coconut form that overtakes this brew. Lingering bitterness that is an odd contrast.
O-Sabro hops have a distinct presence that overtake a beer and this happened here. Likeable but also quickly not interested in a repeat….

Pours hazy blond with a small head that musters only a little bit of lace on the glass. The aroma is of lemon grass, pineapple, apricot, grapefruit hops with bready pale malts too. The taste is replete with the tropical hop flavors you expect from a good New England IPA alongside some herbal, garlic notes like Sorachi Ace or Summit hops. Light body and high carbonation in the mouthfeel. The finish is highly bitter with residual herbal and tropical notes.

A nice NEIPA with a hop profile veering from the standard tropical hop onslaught. Complex and crushable. Worth a try.

“One Pint Ale”, imported from Canada via Stowe, Vt. Poured into a large snifter style glass.

Whitewashed lemon-orange discolored haze with an airy 1f white cap. Quick drop, thin film, light lacing.

Freshly made risen dough aroma along with some light citrus and tropical fruits.

Coconut and juicy orange flavored brew, as advertised. More citrus in the form of mild lemon. White peach.

Juiciness and body are light with a hop bite that eases into a dry finish.

Summer sipper indeed as I consume it on a warm August 28th. I’m going for a second…

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Canned July 20, 2022. LCBO purchase for $4.75 CDN.

Appearance - Hazy peach colored brew with lots of bubbles. A loose finger of white head is poured and recedes quickly. Some loose lacing,

Smell - Coconut, with some pineapple and guava.

Taste - Coconut from Sabro hops for sure, some middling bitterness and accents of lemon and guava.

Mouthfeel - Pretty smooth, nicely carbonation and juicy feel, but then finishes dry.

Overall - Pretty good IPA, solid and fits in the lower middle range of this long numbered series. Worth a try.

Appearance - Pours a cloudy pineapple gold with three fingers of frothy dense white head.

Smell - Tropical fruits (like pineapple, guava, passionfruit), vinous aromas (white grape perhaps), tangerine, bready and grainy malts, hint of caramel.

Taste - As noted above in the aroma, but also some floral hop bitterness that is pleasantly surprising.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Sticky attenuation.

Overall - Another fine addition to the "IPA No." series by those at Collective Arts.
