For our newest IPA Series release, we decided to see how many Mosaic hops we could cram into one beer. We call this: Mosaic Four Ways! We used FOUR different types of Mosaic hops for a beer that showcases everything we love about one of the craft beer world's go-to hops. Regular Mosaic combines with Mosaic CRYO, Mosaic INCOGNITO and Mosaic SPECTRUM for aromas of tropical fruits, with flavours of juicy mangoes, guava and ripe berries.

Pours a clouded dark gold with a small off white cap....aromas of resinous juicy citrus peel-mango hops, some malt sweetness, musty earthiness undertone......medium bodied and rich mouth feel, silky smooth delivery...flavor is remarkably balanced for such a hoppy beer...big chew of juicy hops in front subsides to a pleasant complexity of tastes as the malts come up....long wet finish with light bitterness in the end...a very flavorful pleasant drinkable IPA

A-Bright yellow with a thin head that dissipates quickly.
S-Aromas of stone fruit including peach and sweet plum with a nice dank fragrance to balance it all
M-Medium carbonation with a slight peppery zing at the back. Light body with a balanced mouthfeel
T-Very fruity flavour front to back with a finish that is very candy like. There is an element of sweet raisins and fresh peach
O-Very nice rendition of an APA with the Mosaic hop being utilized well

Pours hazy gold with a chunky ivory head that dissipates quickly but musters plenty of lace. An onslaught of tropical, berry, fruity Mosaic hops in the nose with a light malt ballast. The taste is distilled Mosaic with a perfect level of malt in the back. The mouthfeel is light bodied with active, prickly carbonation. High bitterness and everlasting tropical fruit flavor in the finish.

An Excellent IPA showcasing one if the best hop varieties in history. Aggressive and delicious.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Nov 2 2022 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a hazy pale golden-yellow colour, topped with roughly one finger of tight, foamy white head that sizzles off within two or three minutes. Afterwards, a narrow collar of froth remains, with little else of note - though there is some lace deposition as the level drops. Quite fragrant, with perfumey, floral hops, orange pulp & zest, pineapple juice and bubblegum; very enticing.

Just a superb IPA - lots of citrusy orange zest and juiciness, with subtler notes of pineapple and papaya. It becomes more grassy, floral and dank on the back end, concluding with a moderately bitter finish interspersed with hints of tangerine and tropical fruit. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation that gives some bite to this brew's somewhat watery mouthfeel. Excellent drinkability for an IPA of its strength - I could go for another right now!

Final Grade: 4.16, an A-. I really hope that Collective Arts' Mosaic Four Ways is an early entrant in a series that will go on for a long, long time. What better way to showcase a hop strain than by using it (and only it) in as many ways as possible within a single, solitary recipe? I liked this better than their Citra Four Ways, but over the years I think I have grown to prefer Mosaic over Citra, so it could just be personal bias: i.e. they're both great beers, I just think this one edges its predecessor out. What are you waiting for? Try it while it's still fresh!

This has some beautiful hop aroma and flavour from four different presentations of Mosaic, but the beer itself is flat and watery. Seems like a waste of all those hops.

Mosaic Four Ways (T90, Cryo, Incognito and Spectrum). Canned November 22, 2022 so this is super fresh. Purchased from the brewery. Seems kind of like the CItra 4 ways which was IPA No. 20, but this is not marked as the next in that series. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Rich yellow golden color with orange highlights. Two fingers of long lived white head are poured.

Smell - Dank earthiness with some weedy qualities and also a pleasant citrus aroma, I'm getting a little pineapple and passionfruit with another medley of citrus in behind. Aromatics are quite intense with a beer this fresh. Repeated sniffs, the dankness reigns supreme here.

Taste - Kind of juicy fruity with some sweet citrus. Hints of pineapple and lychee, mango with a little bit of a weedy undertone. Pretty exceptional intensity, the flavors just pop.

Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, leaning towards gassy and a touch boozy but still this hits just right. A little astringency in the finish.

Overall - One of the best IPA's of 2022, the freshness and intensity of the Mosaic hops just really leap out and the freshness is on full display with this sampling. Very enjoyable brew and I hope to pick up some more before it's gone.

**EDIT - January 19, 2023** - No change to the ratings, but after having sampled a few more of these in the past month, there does appear to be a drop off. Aged at a month or two, the beer is still a well crafted and tasty IPA, but the hops don't leap out as much. So while all IPA's should be consumed as fresh as possible, some hold up better than others for a month or three, Mosaic Four Ways is one to absolutely try to get the freshest sample possible.

Pours a nondescript yellow with a head that tries really hard to become one, but never quite succeeding. The nose is dank, but in a rather good way. Inviting as opposed to off-putting.
The feel is front loaded, leaving the back of your throat dry. Quite nice on the taste. The dankness works. It's easy drinking, though you feel the booze on the long note. Ever so slightly watery.
This positively surprises me and I wouldn't mind having it again.
