Older can, 4+ months. Not good. Sorry CA. Inventor should be pulled once over a date. Bought at LCBO, quality control needs to be better.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 10 2023 and served slightly chilled. This seems to be a triple IPA spin-off of their IPA No. 20, which was also "Citra Four Ways".
Pours a relatively clear pale golden colour, generating nearly an inch of soapy, foamy white head that recedes within a matter of minutes, fully coating the glass with lace in the process. A sudsy collar and patchy, filmy cap live on. It smells of lychee, grapefruit and passion fruit, with hints of melon and wheaty malts; the alcohol becomes more noticeable as the glass warms.
It's tasty, but the booziness is constantly running interference - and I get it, that's how triple IPAs work - but it really just distracts from the Citra goodness. Flavours of stone fruit, grapefruit, passion fruit and lychee come through, with suggestions of mango and lemon; these hop notes are supported by a bready, wheaty malt backbone. Finishes hot, with a blast of mango, peach and citrus followed by floral bitterness and boozy-sweetness dissipating into the aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with moderate carbonation that adds a firm, crisp bite to this TIPA's smooth, soft mouthfeel.
Final Grade: 3.99, a high B+, falling just short of an A-. Fuzz Face isn't exactly the pinnacle of Collective Arts' pale ale portfolio, but it's still a pretty good imperial IPA in its own right. My only real complaint is that the alcohol isn't super well-integrated - and again, this is a triple IPA, so that's not exactly a dealbreaker on its own. The Citra flavours are generally delightful, but I would've appreciated a little more punch in the aroma department - still, it's a a good chest-warmer, worth trying for sure.

Brewed with Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra Incognito and Citra Spectrum hops. This beer is the ultimate Citra stan.
Pours hazy bronze with a bubbly compact head. The aroma is of tropical fruit, lemon, pineapple and cookie dough. Peach, mango, apricot, passionfruit hop notes in the taste with a bready ballast and an alcohol spicy kick. The mouthfeel is full bodied with velvety carbonation. High bitterness and loads of tropical fruit in the finish.
A nice TIPA with Citra in abundance balanced by lots of malts.

Can: Poured a slightly hazy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with some floral undertones and light residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of citrusy undertones with some floral hops undertones and residual sugar notes with light warming alcohol notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed triple IPA but lacking a bit of hops punch.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for $4.95 CDN. Canned October 1, 2023.
Appearance - Semi hazy, rich golden color with some amber highlights. Two fingers of dense and tight white head that coalesces somewhere around a half finger.
Smell - Tropical notes, some candied mango with passionfruit, lychee and general sweet citrus. Nose is not overpowering.
Taste - Quite sweet, lots of tropical flavors again some semblance to candied mango and passionfruit with lychee backing it up and some nectarine thrown in. Not terribly boozy, but with the huge sweetness, there is a masking the ABV going on. Booziness starts to show more prominently in the second half of the brew.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied, fairly fizzy, easy enough to drink for a big triple IPA. Finish is sweet and juicy.
Overall - Well executed TIPA, the sweetness is a lot though and that makes it an easy brew to enjoy just one of in a sitting. Fresh and fruity, a solid winter tipple that harkens back memories of summer.
